Richard D. White, MD, MS is both a Professor of Radiology and a Faculty Member in Biomedical Engineering & Physiology-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Mayo Clinic. He currently serves as Chief-Division of Augmented Intelligence in Imaging and Medical Director of its Center for Augmented Intelligence in Imaging at Mayo Clinic Florida (2020-present). These positions followed Radiology Chair positions at the Ohio State University (2010-20) and earlier the University of Florida (2006-10). A career cardiovascular imager, Dr. White established and led the cardiovascular imaging programs at the Cleveland Clinic (1989-2006), Case Western Reserve University (1988 89), and Georgetown University (1987-88) for which he is recognized as Fellow in the ACR, ACC, and AHA as well as a founding member of NASCI, SCMR and SCCT. He completed a residency with ABR-certification (1982-86) and a NIH cardiovascular-imaging fellowship (1985-87) at UCSF. Dr. White received his MD degree (1978-81) and completed a Sarnoff Foundation cardiovascular research fellowship at Duke University (1981-82). More recently, he received his MS degree in Heath Informatics from Northwestern University (2016-18), with a final thesis in imaging-AI.
