Oby Ibe

My name is Oby Ibe and I am a Clinical Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with interests in Preventive Cardiology, Lipidology, cardiovascular imaging, and quality improvement. As a first-generation Nigerian American woman and cardiologist, I am committed to advancing equity in cardiovascular care, identifying social determinants of health, and promoting diversity within the field of Cardiology. I enjoy mitigating patient risk factors, conducting cardiovascular risk assessments, and implementing lifestyle management methods (many of my patients tell me I’m the only physician that talks to them about lifestyle modification!). It also allows me to utilize my Masters in Public Health to emphasize community advocacy and patient empowerment.
