Professional Bio
My work focuses on designing and implementing evidence-based cardiovascular prevention models that improve diagnostic accuracy, optimise treatment, and reduce health inequalities in high-risk and underserved populations.
I currently lead an independent community pharmacy delivering integrated clinical services with a specialist cardiovascular focus, including hypertension screening, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), and weight management. I also serve as Community Pharmacy PCN Lead within the NHS Integrated Care System, contributing to neighbourhood-level primary care strategy and service integration.
My recent first-author clinical research in young-onset hypertension demonstrated that a mandatory ABPM-first diagnostic protocol identified normal ambulatory blood pressure in 44.7% of treatment-naïve referrals, preventing unnecessary long-term antihypertensive treatment. This work has been accepted for presentation at the European Society of Cardiology ACNAP Congress 2026 and directly informs the Cardiovascular Prevention Hub model I am implementing in community pharmacy practice.
I also served as Educational Lead for the West Yorkshire Lipid Optimisation Programme, a multi-institutional initiative that reduced deprivation-related inequality in cholesterol management across an NHS region and was accepted for presentation at the ESC Preventive Cardiology Congress 2026.
I am currently completing a Level 7 Senior Leader qualification focused on scalable cardiovascular prevention service design, governance, and implementation.
I am a member of the European Society of Cardiology, American College of Lifestyle Medicine, and Primary Care Cardiovascular Society UK.
