Brittany Weber, MD, PhD, FASPC, is an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Director of the Cardio-Rheumatology and Cardio-Dermatology Program. Her clinical and research interests focus on cardiovascular disease prevention and risk stratification in patients with immune-mediated inflammatory disorders, including recurrent idiopathic pericarditis.
Dr. Weber earned her medical and doctoral degrees in immunology from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine residency, serving as Chief Medical Resident, followed by cardiology fellowship and an NIH-funded T32 fellowship in cardiovascular imaging research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Her research examines the relationship between systemic inflammation and cardiovascular disease, with a focus on coronary microcirculation and atherosclerotic plaque imaging. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and American Society for Preventive Cardiology. She serves in leadership roles with the ACC Prevention Council and the international Virtual Cardio-Rheumatology Clinical Conference Seminar Series, and sits on the editorial boards of several cardiovascular journals.
Dr. Weber has published more than 100 academic articles and has delivered numerous national and international presentations. In 2025, she received the Douglas P. Zipes Distinguished Young Scientist Award from the American College of Cardiology.
