Professional Bio

I am an Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medicine School and associate physician in cardiovascular medicine and cardiovascular imaging at Brigham and Women?s Hospital where she is the director of the cardio-rheumatology clinic. She is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania school of Medicine with a PhD in Immunology, received internal medicine training, including serving as a chief medical resident, and then cardiovascular training at the BWH. She then completed a T32 Cardiovascular imaging research fellowship under mentorship of Marcelo Di Carli. Her clinical interests include cardiovascular risk stratification and prevention with patients with systemic inflammatory disorders including the use of multi-modality imaging, specific anti-inflammatory medications and cardiovascular effects, specific CV manifestations within these inflammatory conditions, as well as pericardial disease and the use of novel anti-inflammatory treatments.
Her research is broadly focused on translational research in systemic inflammatory conditions harnessing advanced cardiovascular imaging and immunology. Her work has concentrated on rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and psoriatic disease with a focus on coronary microvascular dysfunction. She is currently supported by a K23 and AHA Career Developmental Grants.
