Professional Bio
Ashish Sarraju is Associate Staff in Preventive Cardiology at the Miller Heart, Vascular, and Thoracic Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Cleveland Ohio, and a researcher with the Cleveland Clinic Coordinating Center for Clinical Research (C5research). Dr. Sarraju trained at Stanford University as a resident and Chief Resident in internal medicine, where he stayed for fellowship and as Chief Fellow in Cardiovascular Medicine. He completed a postdoctoral research training funded by the American Heart Association focused on health tech and innovation. He received the Edwin Alderman award for Excellence in Clinical Research at Stanford. At the Cleveland Clinic, he focuses on dyslipidemias and familial hypercholesterolemia. His research focuses on clinical trials, epidemiologic studies, and AI and tech to address gaps in preventive cardiology. His original research has been published in journals such as JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, Circulation, and JACC. He serves in leadership positions for phase 1 through 3 randomized trials. He is a member of C5research, the academic research organization of the Cleveland Clinic. He serves as a peer reviewer for major journals, on several AHA grant review committees, and is a member of the AHA Epidemiology and Prevention Statistics committee. He received a Top Educator award at the Cleveland Clinic in 2023.
