Professional Bio
Adi is a medical student at the University of California, San Francisco, with interests in preventive cardiology, lipidology, and nutrition-based approaches to cardiovascular disease prevention. His interest in the field was shaped by personal experience with familial hypercholesterolemia, which led him to study Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology with an emphasis in Physiology & Metabolism at UC Berkeley before medical school. At UCSF, he has been involved in cardiovascular prevention initiatives serving underserved populations, including a quality improvement project focused on increasing statin initiation among people living with HIV with elevated ASCVD risk. Through the UCSF SJV PRIME program, he is also interested in improving cardiometabolic health in California’s Central Valley. He additionally participates in cardiac surgery outcomes research under Dr. Elaine Tseng, examining frailty and evolving approaches to valvular disease in aging veteran populations. He hopes to pursue a career in cardiology focused on prevention, lipid disorders, and equitable cardiovascular care.
