UC Irvine-led study of more than 220,000 U.S. adults links higher B vitamin levels with lower stroke
A research team led by Dr. Simin Liu at the University of California, Irvine Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health found that higher levels of several B vitamins — including vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, and folate — are prospectively associated with a lower risk of stroke based on data of more than 220,000 adults across the United States.
Findings are published in the journal American Journal of Preventive Cardiology and were funded by the National Institutes of Health. Read more...
