Professional Bio

I’m a physician, researcher and educator currently completing my Internal Medicine residency at the University of Saskatchewan (Regina Campus). My interest in preventive cardiology began during my master’s training at King's College London, where I focused on cardiovascular outcomes and nutrition-related research, and has continued throughout my clinical training.

I completed my medical training in Ireland, and went on to train in the UK Academic Foundation Programme at NHS University Hospitals Sussex. Across these settings, my work has consistently centered on cardiovascular risk reduction, particularly in older adults, women, and ethnically diverse populations. My research includes projects on Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, dietary patterns and carotid intima-media thickness, and the development of a nurse-led hypertension protocol emphasizing ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and real-world implementation.

I’ve presented my work at international meetings including the American College of Cardiology and the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress, where I was a 2025 finalist for the Richard Rowe Prize. I plan to pursue fellowship training in cardiology with a long-term focus on preventive and geriatric cardiology, integrating clinical care with outcomes and implementation research. I will be starting as a geriatrics fellows this July 2026 and hope to pursue a career in preventative and geriatric cardiology thereafter.

Outside of medicine, I’m trained in classical Indian dance, hold a Royal Conservatory of Music Certificate in Piano, and enjoy writing and performing music, creative outlets that keep me grounded and shape how I connect with patients.
