Professional Bio
Dr. Mohammadmoradi is a cardiovascular scientist with training in vascular biology, molecular biology, and platelet physiology. His work focuses on the preclinical mechanisms linking platelet function to aortopathies and other vascular diseases, with the overarching goal of identifying early drivers of cardiovascular pathology and opportunities for prevention.
Dr. Mohammadmoradi has been recognized for his scientific contributions and service to the cardiovascular community. He is a recipient of the 2025 American Heart Association (AHA) Kenneth M. Brinkhous Early Career Investigator Prize and is serving as an AHA Science Communicator. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Research and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis (RPTH), is a member of the Early Career Editorial Board of Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology (ATVB), and serves as Chair-Elect of the ATVB Council Membership Committee.
In addition to his academic work, Dr. Mohammadmoradi is engaged in entrepreneurial and science communication initiatives aimed at promoting cardiovascular health, preventive medicine, and public engagement in biomedical science.
