Professional Bio
Additionally, she collaborated with the National Institutes of Health on the "All of Us" program, examining the relationship between cardiovascular disease and comorbidities in cognitively impaired patients. Her studies on genetic links between cognitive decline and coronary artery disease inform future prevention and treatment strategies.
Her publications include “Enhancing Cardiovascular Health Management through Mobile Applications” and “Addressing Social Determinants of Health in Urban Communities,” which highlight the importance of leveraging technology and addressing social factors in health disparities.
Dr. Asamoah is also active in the Disparities in CVD Prevention Working Group with The American Society for Preventive Cardiology, advocating for equitable healthcare initiatives related to socioeconomic status and heart health.
Currently, she is researching environmental health determinants, collaborating with the Climate Science Division on air pollution's effects on public health in urban Ghana and comparing pollution impacts on health between urban and remote areas in El Salvador.
