Dr. Jacqueline A. Burnes is a clinical specialist, researcher, and educator with extensive training in cardiology. She earned her doctorate in cardiovascular health, with her dissertation centered on Multifactorial Prevention Strategies to Mitigate the Onset of Coronary Artery Disease. In 2023, Dr. Burnes commenced her postdoctoral training in non-invasive cardiology at Columbia University, specifically at the Exert Clinic & Laboratory within the Department of Biobehavioral Sciences. Her research centers on the critical intersection of two key areas in cardiology: the prognostic value and diagnostic potential of cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) in patients with heart failure, as well as the prognostic implications of exercise capacity in individuals diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD).
